Tsukune

Tsukune is a savoury Japanese dish featuring minced chicken thighs blended with aromatic ingredients like onion, garlic, and ginger. This flavourful mixture is crafted meatballs which are then grilled to perfection. To elevate the taste, it's complemented by a homemade tsukune tare sauce, it's a five-hour slow-cooked process. The result is a delicious and well-balanced dish, highlighting the essence of Japanese cuisine.

Enjoyed Tsukune

I enjoyed Tsukune; I've never had it before. Unfortunately, the lid of the little pot of sauce had come loose,

Treat the sauce with care!

Enjoyed the chicken skewers, but sadly rather lost the sauce. Hadn't quite registered that the sauce came separately until I had the skewers on a baking dish with only very slight rims. Poured the sauce over the skewers for the last five minutes as instructed, but it ran out over my baking tray down onto the over floor where it got scorched. So be sure and cook in a baking dish with decent sides to avoid the clean-up operation I created for myself. Served the skewers with sour cream and a kibinai. The photo only shows half the portion of the skewers.

Something a little bit Different!

These were a really lovely treat for lunch. Nice to have something a little bit different. The tsukune tare sauce was on another level! Really enjoyable, will definitely have these again.

Just Okay

Had high expectations for this due to other reviews but it just tastes okay. The sauce is a bit too sweet and lacks other profile and the chicken is just spiced ground chicken, nothing special, a good way to get your protein though.

Delicious

I think this is my new favourite. Little lollipops of savoury goodness.
