Taste Testers:
The Council of Eaters
What is The Council of Eaters?
All new chefs and dishes go through a thorough taste testing process. The point of the Council is so that we can allow chefs to test new dishes. It's really important that we provide chefs with a quick and enjoyable route (if their food is good) onto the platform. As a Council of Eaters member, you'll be key in selecting and quality testing new meals before they debut on our site, so please read the rules below.
How to join The Council of Eaters?
The council of eaters is only available to our top community members. Once you reach 500 loyalty points, you'll receive an invitation to join the Council of Eaters. Then you'll be able to add Council of Eaters dishes to your next order and start taste testing the new dishes.
How the Council of Eaters works?
- All dishes will be heavily discounted - the discount will be automatically applied to the products at checkout.
- Please add them alongside other dishes from HomeCooks to complete your order.
- You will receive your food delivered to your doorstep as normal.
- Once you have tried the food, please review your dish out of 5 stars, as you would leave a review normally.
- Please note that because these are taste testing dishes, we have limited stock available, so we work on a first come, first serve basis. If we run out of stock before your order is delivered, you will be refunded for those dishes.
What are The Council Of Eaters rules?
- Please only order a maximum of one of each dish (there is limited stock of each dish and we would like enough to go around for a variety of opinions).
- Please only order the food for delivery in the next few days, so you can review quickly. We want to provide feedback to the chefs as soon as possible and not keep them in 'limbo'. If you are a subscriber, please bring your next order forward to the next few days using the HomeCooks App.
- Once you receive the food, please try and review as soon as you possibly can.
- Please make sure to order a healthy mix of council and non-council dishes in your order.
Important note on quality:
The reason the food quality tends to be so high on HomeCooks is that chefs need to pass a few stages before they make it to the community. Needless to say, that some fall at this hurdle because their offering isn't good enough. Every meal ordered through the council is experimental - some dishes will be fantastic, some won't be good enough - that's for you to decide.
