Meet Bora & Jenny

Mind the Cake

We have been best friends for 8 years and flatmates for 7 years, and the kitchen has been a major space of bonding for us. Bora is a trained pastry chef and the founder of her own social cake shop in Kosovo, and I (Jenny) am the devoted student. During the pandemic, I was suffering from severe eczema so I was on a strict refined sugar free, seed oil free diet. But I wasn't ready to give up cakes. That got Bora and I experimenting. We replaced the sugar and milk in her French and Italian recipes without compromising the taste. Et voilà, Mind the Cake was born in 2024.

Chocolate heaven

Very nice. but had defrosted on the journey to me. So put it in freezer to chill until firmed up a bit. Frozen or not was delicious. My son has already asked to order more.

Triple chocolate mousse

Not my favourite. Was called cake so I thought there would be some sponge. The milk chocolate layer tastes like chocolate orange, but that isn’t listed as an ingredient.

Unfortunately mine didn’t travel well at all, it was all mushed together and the plastic band hadn’t stayed on. I found it a bit rich and stodgy biscuit base sadly. .

Loved it

Really liked this, lovely mousse chocolate layers and buttery biscuit base. Good size portion. Really rich. I would get this again. Arrived perfectly formed.

Best Taste ever

One of my favourite cakes I have eaten with a perfect flavour that anyone will love 🍰
