Shahi Paneer Curry with Cumin Rice

This dish is a right royal affair (shahi means royal). Paneer is Indian cottage cheese and one of the most popular vegetarian ingredients in India. You will rarely find an Indian buffet without at least one paneer dish. Soft paneer cubes dunked in a thick and creamy sauce made with butter, cream, onion, tomatoes, and exquisite spices like cashews, cardamom and saffron to name a few. Shahi paneer pairs beautifully with jeera (cumin) rice.

Great balance between spicy and bland will definitely order the large portion next you can taste the butter and cheese go really well together. An excellent hearty meal.

Taste it s nice but re heating is challenging

It's a shame because I really want to like this dish but unfortunately it doesn't work for me. I tried it several times and the flavour is nice but after following the reheating instructions (and even adding more minutes), the dish is always full of water and it's s not nice especially for the rice. I hope this can get sorted but I don't think I will buy it again for now

Delicious rice and fruity medium chrry

The rice was delicious and the curry was medium with a fruity flavour (to me anyway. A dry curry, pick an appropriate accompaniment. As I was hungry I ate a large serving was hit the spot.

Very Spicy

(Hot). Not sure I was able to appreciate the cumin rice as the sauce was so hot that I would probably have preferred plain basmati rice. Didn’t have much paneer so for me the meal wasn’t particularly good value for money at nearly £8 for a single portion. Won’t likely replace my butter chicken as a regular meal.

Nice

Really nice flavour but can't never get the re heating right. One time the paneer as mushy, the second time there was water left. Hopefully I will be third time lucky
