For our mole with chicken, we start by marinating tender chicken in a carefully selected blend of spices to bring out its flavour and keep it succulent. Meanwhile, we prepare the mole sauce by slow-cooking a rich mix of toasted chillies, warm spices, and just a hint of chocolate. As it simmers, the flavours deepen, coming together into a beautifully smooth and velvety sauce. Once the chicken is perfectly marinated, we add it to the mole, letting it soak up all those deep, complex flavours. Served with fragrant Mexican rice and roasted vegetables, this dish is bold, hearty, and full of character.

Chicken breast, garlic, salt, ground black pepper, rice, ancho chilli, pasilla chilli, banana, chocolate (MILK), sugar, salt, peanuts[PEANUTS], vegetable shortening, breadcrumbs (WHEAT).

Heating Instructions

As our food is hand-made by our chefs, these reheating instructions are a guide. Check your food is piping hot throughout before serving.

❄️ FROM CHILLED

MICROWAVE: Remove sleeve and pierce film. Heat on full power at 850W. Heat for 4 mins. Leave to stand for 2 minutes. Stir well before serving.

OVEN: Preheat oven to Fan 180 ºC / Electric 200 ºC / Gas 6. Remove outer sleeve and pierce film. Place on a baking tray and position in the centre of the oven. Cook for 30 - 35 mins. Leave to stand for 2 minutes before and stir well before serving.

MICROWAVE: Remove sleeve and pierce film. Heat on full power at 850W. Heat for 7 mins. Leave to stand for 2 minutes. Stir well before serving.

OVEN: Preheat oven to Fan 180 ºC / Electric 200 ºC / Gas 6. Remove outer sleeve and pierce film. Place on a baking tray and position in the centre of the oven. Cook for 40 - 45 mins. Leave to stand for 2 minutes before and stir well before serving.

Loved it

I had the beef and pork mole previously and loved it so ordered the chicken this time. Almost as good but be careful not to make it too hot so other flavours aren't lost.

Really liked this dish, but preferred the Beef Mole over this one.

I find this dish quite delightful, with many interesting flavors.

unusual but not unpleasant

There is some rice in this recipe but it is more like risotto rice and not like shown or as much as shown in the picture. Flavour is rather unusual (chocolate & banana) but not unpleasant. I had the flavour of banana repeating on me sometime afterwards so I hope this doesn’t mean there is added banana essence in it (I love bananas they don’t repeat on me). Anyway the meal made a pleasant change but I’m not sure it would become a regular purchase.

This was enjoyable, a nice mix of flavours. However there was no rice included as it says in the ingredients.
