This is an all-time favourite soup that has featured on my HomeCooks menu for over two years. It's a well-loved family soup and I have often had people emailing me asking for the recipe after they have ordered! It is a mildly chunky soup with a sweet and salty favour with roasted chicken stirred through. Please note the soup will not be served with croutons as pictured as I would like it to remain gluten-free. However, feel free to add your own crumbled toast to top it off!

Onions, potato, cornflour, sweet corn, chicken stock ( which includes celery) and chicken, salt and pepper

Heating Instructions

As our food is hand-made by our chefs, these reheating instructions are a guide. Check your food is piping hot throughout before serving.

❄️ FROM CHILLED

MICROWAVE: Remove lid and place loosely on the container. Place on a microwaveable plate and heat on full power for 3-4 minutes, stirring half way through. After heating, stir and stand for 2 minutes before serving.

HOB: Cook until heated through, do not bring up to boil. Leave to stand for 1 minute before eating.

MICROWAVE: Remove lid and place loosely on the container. Place on a microwaveable plate and heat on full power for 6-7 minutes, stirring half way through. After heating, stir and stand for 2 minutes before serving.

HOB: Defrost before reheating.

Meet Lisa

My Mum was an amazing chef and taught me how to cook. My food story began when I was a songwriter, our studios were in a remote part of Kent with nowhere to buy food so I cooked for everyone. After 20 years of writing pop songs I decided I wanted a career in food and I was offered a chef role at Jamie Oliver's cook school but decided to set up my own at home. My business grew into recipe developing and writing articles for local London newspapers.

Pic is misleading

The taste is ok but only few small bits of chicken. The picture on the website is misleading as it shows large bits of chicken.

Delicious hottie soup

The soup is absolutely delicious and full of chicken. I order it every delivery.

Chicken Stock

This is a tasty homemade chicken & sweetcorn soup but my portion seemed to have only a few small bits of chicken that would have come off the bones of the chicken carcass used to cook the chicken stock; done it myself many times over the years. The picture on the website gives a slightly misleading image of many large bits of added chicken. Maybe I was just unlucky.

Know I know why my first few orders this soup was out of stock! Thankful to finally be able to order it and it was worth the wait. A lovely flavourful soup. Very nice light lunch. Will definitely be ordering again!
